jwchat software package provides a full featured, web-based Jabber chat client, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jwchat
jwchat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jwchat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jwchat *
You will get with jwchat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
